MASTERCLASS

In this Masterclass we will be focussed on honing your skills to ensure you are best placed

to achieve successful outcomes at VCAT. Each session will be unique as we delve into various aspects of VCAT. Whilst we should aim to avoid VCAT sometimes we just have to attend.

SESSION ONE (Thurs 13th June 9:30 am to 12:30pm): LEGISLATION

We start with a comprehensive look at legislation and other aspects that you can use in your submissions and evidence to VCAT. The Residential Tenancies Act and the Regulations, Directors Guidelines, The VCAT Act, Legal Precedent both binding and persuasive, why you need to be aware of other acts of parliament and areas of law.

SESSION TWO ( Thurs 27th June 9:30am to 12:30pm): PREPARATION

We take a detailed look at what evidence you need to provide in different circumstances, and how you should incorporate the evidence into your written submissions. We also look at completing the summary of proofs, and of vitas importance how to best write asubmission.

SESSION THREE (Thurs 11th July 9:30am to 12:30pm): PRESENTATION

In the final session we discuss presenting your case to VCAT. You will have completed a submission based on a detailed case study and then you will present your case in a realistic role play.
