VIC: Does a RRP signing a 'Disclosure Statement" protect the agent if the disclosures are incorrect

No! Agents have a responsibility to their Clients, and their clients also have a reasonable expectation that agents will assist in the completion of documentation. As agents for your rental provider you must assist and to the best of your knowledge ensure the and documentation is correctly completed. These responsibilities arise under the principals of agency law, along with the requirements of the Estate Agents Act 1980 and the Estate Agents (Professional Conduct) Regulations 2018.
