Certain guarantees prohibited
(1) A person must not demand or require a renter to obtain a guarantee for the performance of any of the renter's duties in relation to the residential rental agreement if the renter has paid or is required to pay a bond under a residential rental agreement. Penalty: 60 penalty units.
(2) This section does not apply to a residential rental agreement referred to in section 31(3).
(3) A guarantee obtained in contravention of this section is invalid and unenforceable.
