Residential rental provider must ensure rating compliance for replacement appliances A residential rental provider must ensure that if an appliance, fitting or fixture provided by the residential rental provider that uses or supplies water, electricity or gas at the rented premises needs to be replaced, the replacement has at least a rating that is of or above a prescribed level of rating in an efficiency rating system.

Note This section is a duty provision and a contravention of this section may be dealt with as a breach of a duty under Part 5 and other provisions of this Act.
