Success is a journey.
I have been watching the Australia v Argentina game at the World Cup and Australia winning with Argentina scoring 2 goals to 1. Australia winning?, you ask, yes Australia won, winning and success is not always a result it is a journey. The Australian soccer/football team is on their journey just as the rest of us are. How does this relate to our industry, we often feel our struggles and what we call our losses, for example, an owner takes a property away from us, another agency wins a new management over us, a tribunal decision goes against us, we look at these items individually as losses, but they are only losses, they are only failing, if you let them be, they are all opportunities to learn and better ourselves and if we can learn, if we can better ourselves then we are taking positive steps on our journey of success. Don’t let individual negative results be seen as you losing your journey, we will all have loses, it is how you handle the overall journey that determines your success. Just like the Aussie soccer team, they made the final 16 against expectation, then they played against the very best in the world and scored Australia’s first ever goal in a World Cup knock out game, almost drawing level with the very best in the world in the final minute, this tournament was a win on their journey to success, just like your losses, if you are learning from them, if you are improving you are having wins on your journey.
